Day 1 Bangkok (Arrival Day) (-, -, -) Meet & greet at Suvanaphumi Airport and then escorted the hotel. The late afternoon you will brief about your program from Bangkok through the north and then, evening will be free at leisure.
Day 2 City & Temple Tour (B, L, D)
After breakfast, visit Grand Palace, the sign of Thailand and was the residence for Kings and royal family, the trip will visit a group of the throne halls with the vast area of this palace complex. You will find the perfect combination of Europe and Thai architecture from many spot in the area. In the same compound you will be visited Wat Phra Kaew, an unquestionably one of the wonders of the world today. Within its enormous grounds is the most exotic Buddhist temple and at the heart of the temple itself is a fabulous Buddha image, carved from one piece of Jade, which is the holiest and most revered of religious objects in Thailand called Phra Kaew (or Emerald Buddha). After lunch, visit China Town (one of the oldest areas of Bangkok as Chinese merchants were originally moved to this area). Evening, visit Siam Niramit a grandiose tour through Thai culture and history taking its audience back in time to mystical bygone eras. (dinner will be served)
Day 3 Ayuttaya – Sukhothai – Phisanulok (B, L, D)
After breakfast, discover the ancient capital of Siam (80kilometers north of Bangkok), Ayutthaya was so well endowed with temples that sunlight reflecting off their gilt decoration was said dazzle from three miles away; including Wat Mongkol Bobit, Wat Mahathat, Wat Prasi Sanphet and Royal Palace. Founded in 1350, Ayutthaya is a city of canals and temples, built at the junction of three rivers, canals cut into the landscape made Ayutthaya an island protected by fortified walls. Today it is a country town with an amazing collection of temple ruins and relics and UNESCO claimed that Historic City of Ayutthaya and Associated Historic Towns is one of the world heritages in 1991. Continue the trip to Pitsanuloke and overnight.
Day 4 Lampang – Lamphun – Inthanon National Park (B, L, D)
After breakfast, board on 3rd class train to Lampang (07.00 – 12.35) to absorb nature and ways of life of local people along the way. Lunch will be served at the restaurant. Visit Lampang City, experience with the horse carriage around Lampang City and visit “Wat Phrathat Lampangluang”, the most beautiful and well preserved monument and its’ compound in Lanna style. After that, drive to Lamphun, visit some Wat Phra That Hariphunchai and Wat Jammadhevi before drive up to Inthanon National park. (dinner will be served around a Camp Fire)
Day 5 Inthanon – Mae Cham (B, L, D)
Easy breakfast, visit major places of Inthanon, Inthanon Mountain is the part of Himalaya Mountain where you can enjoy the rain forest/evergreen forest with the beautiful “Rhododendron” in the cool temperature at 2,565 meters above sea level which is Thailand’s highest peak by driving throughout the range of the mountains passing the differences of flora, fauna and attractive scenery. By the top is the place where the shrine of the last King of Chiang Mai located on and enjoys the short walking trail (15mins.) through “Angka Natural Trail”. After that, visit the pagodas which the people built for the king and the queen when they reach aged of 60. After lunch at the local restaurant, visit the nearby “Karen Village”, and continue to Mae Cham District, a peaceful and quiet city surround with mountains and nature (overnight in a small resort called Huen Ram Cham Muang).
Day 6 Mae Cham – Mae Hong Son (B, L, D)
Visit Morning Market, taste easy and local breakfast and continue the trip to weaving village. After that, drive to Mae Hong Son City and upon arrival you will be transfer to the hotel and relax at your leisure. Visit “Doi Kong Mu Temple”, a Burmese style temple, with a panoramic view of the city from the temple’s terrace. Visit another two temples that very famous in town (“Jong Khum” and “Jong Klang”)
Day 7 Mae Hong Son – Chiang Mai (B, L, D)
Breakfast, start the day with the boat trip up stream of water with the lush green of nature to Long Neck Hill Tribe Village. After lunch, visit Phu Klon Hot Spa for mineral clay treatment (treatment not included; THB80 - 800). Drive to Mae Hong Son Airport for the flight to Chiang Mai and upon arrival, escorted to the hotel and relax at your leisure.
Day 8 Chiang Mai (Free Morining + Doi Suthep Temple) (B, L, D)
This morning you will be free at leisure from the long journey (you may have a chance to relax with your favorite book on the pool side or enjoy the spa with the traditional Thai Massage, etc). In the afternoon (02.30pm – 03.00pm), you will be pick up to visit Chiang Mai most sacred palace “Doi Suthep Temple” which situated on the top of the mountain and attend the evening Buddhist service at the temple. After that take you to “Khan Toke Dinner”, a local food (Sticky Rice, Fried Pork Skin, Northern Chili Paste, Pork Curry, Sweet Crispy Rice and Deep-Fried Banana) with the traditional dances such as drum dance, sword dance, candle dance etc.
Day 9 Chiang Mai (Elephant Camp & Handicraft Village) (B, L, D)
Pick up and continue the trip to visit the “elephant camp”, feeding the elephant with bunches of bananas or sugar cane before they walk into the river for their daily bathing. Next, they will demonstrate logging in the jungle in the previous day. After the show, enjoy the “elephant ride” through the jungle (up – down hill) and into the stream of river. After lunch, relax with the pure scenery along the river by the “bamboo raft”. After that, visit the “orchid farm” to see the variety the orchid in Chiang Mai and visit the “Handicraft Village” along Sankampang Road for observe some craftwork procedures such as Wood Carving, Umbrella Painting, Thai-Silk, Celadon, Lacquer Ware, Silver Ware, etc (lunch will be served at the restaurant). In the evening, you will be free at your leisure or make your trip to visit Chiang Mai Night Bazaar.
Day 10 Chiang Mai – Chiang Rai (B, L, -)
Leave Chiang Mai for a trip to Chiang Rai with the scenic route on both side through the mountain and valley roads. Take a short break at the hot spring on the way for zip tea or coffee and relaxing. Lunch in Chiang Rai City and continue the trip to “Doi Tung” where the Princess Mother’s Royal Chalet (Swiss chalet style) and Mae Fah Luang Garden located on and drive to the oldest city in Chiang Rai (Chiang Saen), where was the home town of King Meng Rai who was built Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai. Transfer to the hotel in Golden Triangle Area.
Day 11 Golden Triangles – Chiang Rai (B, L, -)
Visit the border that Thailand, Myanmar & Laos meet at the “Golden Triangle”, which was the world famous place for the opium and then visit Hall of Opium to understand opium circle and drug trade including the history of the opium in South East Asia by the great exhibition and display with fully light and sound system. After lunch, take the trip to “Mae Sai” the northern most town of Thailand, where is the border between Thailand and Myanmar (Burma). Finally, drive back to Chiang Mai City, enjoy the scenery along the way and take a break at the hot spring.
Day 12 Chiang Rai (Departure Day) (B, -, -)
After breakfast, free at leisure till the time to transfer you to the airport for your return trip home.
